Climbing in the Mendips

Last weekend Pete the Younger, Pete the Elder and I went climbing in the gorgeous Mendips, around the corner from Cheddar Gorge. We also made friends with some mountain goats, had a go at vertigo-busting blindfolded climbing and wore some very attractive helmets.

Great photos! can you reveal where you are climbing? I would like to find a friendly crag for my attempt and coming out of climbing retirement!
    Good luck with future adventures!

Hi Rachel, no problem! It’s called Burrington Combe. Nearest postcode is BS40 7AT. There’s a little parking lot and public loos right next to a rock face with five or so routes that you’d need to lead but they’re really easy, maybe 2s?

    Hope you have fun!
