Barbour people – meet artist Emily

Barbour have launched a series of videos showcasing the stories of creative people around Britain. Meet Emily, who creates beautiful artwork of the people she spots. Plus I wax (hah!) lyrical about my much-loved vintage Barbour.

Over the past three years Barbour have been on a labour of love, creating beautiful short films of creative ‘Barbour People’ sharing little insights into their world. First up is Emily, who loves to lose herself in a crowd and create artwork of the characters she spies. Over the coming weeks her story will be joined by those of inspiring musicians, photographers and gardeners, showing the world what a day in their lives is like.

Plus, Barbour will be celebrating the unique and varied styles of be-Barboured ladies and gentlemen on their new tumblr. Visit Barbour People to watch the first film in the series and share the love with the hashtag #BarbourPeople.

Am I a #BarbourPerson? Damn straight – my beauty of a Barbour is a second-hand, much loved men’s Bedale, in serious need of a rewaxing. It’s kept me dry everywhere from Glastonbury to my graduation and from Brixton streets to Bolivian mountains. It smells like an old friend. Serious love.
