Sailor style in the Caribbean

Hello sailor! I spent a week learning the ropes (hah!) of yachting in the British Virgin Islands with Girls For Sail and this is what I wore whilst island-hopping, dolphin-spotting and rum cocktail-partaking. Yum. My Caribbean sailing packing list is perfect if you’re off on a tropical sail.

SUNGLASSES
I love the big 70s style round sunglasses currently in fashion, mainly because they make you look you may have attended the original Woodstock. That’s cool, right? Accessorize, £15

DECK SHOES
Ooh, posh kicks! These uber smart stitched moccasins from Chatham are the Kate Middleton of deck shoes. They’re pricy but work so well for the office, weekend trips and anywhere else your (very nicely shod) feet may take you this summer that it’d be rude not to, really. Chatham, £95

BIKINI SEPARATES
Get beach body ready by putting a bikini on your body. River Island do great separates in bright prints – I love their bustier tops as they offer a little more support if you’re prone to jumping off the side of boats at a moment’s notice. River Island, From a selection

I’ve got a bit of a crush on this bright and beautiful disco-print costume, which is seriously flattering and perfect to wear with shorts for messing about on deck. House of Fraser, £38
