Seaside days in Seasalt stripes

Hello sailor! The first of my collaborations with Seasalt Cornwall is all about lazy spring days on the Cornish coast in sunshiny stripes.

I’m so excited to be working with one of my all-time favourite brands this year. Seasalt Cornwall make beautiful, coastal-inspired clothes that make me want to up sticks and move to a lighthouse by the side of the sea.

Earlier this spring I got the chance to visit Seasalt’s design studios in Falmouth. It’s impossible not to covet the myriad of gorgeous prints the designers are busy working on, all created in and inspired by the Cornish landscape. Seasalt’s ethos is all about thoughtfully, responsibly designed, often organic clothes, made to last.

I’ll be sharing different Seasalt styles for each season over the coming months, and first up are these lovely spring looks. A little bit nautical and extremely nice, these bright striped tops, linen cut-off trousers and soft leather sandals are perfect for happy days spent in the great outdoors on our ocean-edged island.

My spring Seasalt favourites

Sailor top in Cornish cobalt, £29.95: The bold, solid stripes of the latest incarnation of a Seasalt classic make me think of traditional Cornishware pottery. These soft sailor styles are easy to wear with absolutely everything.

West View jumper, £55: My favourite bit about this lovely, delicately striped pullover is the row of bright red buttons on the back.

Brawn point crops in cobalt, £52.20: These linen cut-off trews make me feel like I should move to St Ives, rent a fisherman’s cottage and become an artist immediately.

Pont-Aven backpack, £36: A cherry-red foldover backpack that packs a surprising amount of stuff inside. Comfy, soft and perfect for packing a picnic in.

Palmaira sandal in rust, £47.50: Did you know Seasalt also stock lust-worthy shoes and sandals? These buttery-soft leather Palmaira sandals are a little slice of Menorcan island sunshine for your feet.

Sailor square, £3.50 – Tie up your hair on blustery days in these sweet hankie-style scarves, inspired by sailor’s neckerchiefs.

Now the balmy days of summer are almost here I’m planning a few months of beach feasts and wild swimming in Seasalt’s beautiful swimwear. My next post will include the perfect one piece, happy yellow slider sandals and this pretty boat-print bikini. Cute, eh?
