ABOUT THE GIRL OUTDOORS

sian

Hello!

I’m Sian, and this is The Girl Outdoors, a blog for anyone who loves adventures. It features travel, sport, photography, outdoor style, places to stay and gear reviews, and it’s here for inspiration if you feel like you need some fresh air.

I’m 26 and I’m a journalist. I grew up on a farm in Spain and currently work as the Online Editor of Countryfile Magazine in Bristol. I’ve written for titles such as Lonely Planet, The Simple Things, Cosmopolitan, Digital Camera, Company, The Guardian and The Times.

I like falling off surfboards, skiing through powder, running in forests and travelling the world. I’m always looking for the next adventure.

The site’s design was created by the brilliant Pete Walker of Cap2 Solutions.
Illustrations and most photos by Sian.

I just read your “Feeding the Birds” article in The Simple Things magazine (I live in the US and I’m a little behind in the issues!) and discovered your blog. Very cool!
