ABOUT THE GIRL OUTDOORS

sl

The Girl Outdoors is a blog for anyone who loves adventures. It features travel, sport, guides, photography, gear, places to stay and reviews. It’s perfect for inspiration if you feel like you need some fresh air. All kit and travel reviews are 100% objective.

My name is Siân Lewis, I’m 25 and I’m a journalist. I grew up on a farm in Spain and currently work at a photography magazine in Bristol, after a gap year which took me to Finland, Canada, the Italian Alps and Bolivia.
My work has appeared in titles such as Lonely Planet magazine, The Simple Things, Cosmopolitan.co.uk, Company magazine, The Guardian and The Times. I like Kendal Mint Cake a LOT.

The site’s lovely design was created by my brilliant friend Pete Walker of Cap2 Solutions.

I just read your “Feeding the Birds” article in The Simple Things magazine (I live in the US and I’m a little behind in the issues!) and discovered your blog. Very cool!
