All the gear reviews on The Girl Outdoors are 100% objective. I do get sent gear to test out by brands but I will only feature kit that I really like to use and places to stay that I’ve loved – I hope you love them too. Here’s more info on how I review kit.

Glad you enjoyed your trip to Ryvoan. Spent a few winters nights there. The MBA is always seeking particularly younger volunteers to act as Maintenance Organisers – essentially to visit a particular bothy twice a year & report on its condition & arrange for any work needed to be done; no particular skills required other than sense of humour & a love of the outdoors; in the past the MBA was populated by youngsters (men, women, straight, gay, etc – we have always been a diverse bunch) who are now getting gnarled with age & we need a new generation to step forward ! Any help in maintaining bothies for the next generation (& beyond) you can provide via your blog would be welcome. Please feel free to contact me with any thoughts !
