You don’t need to travel far to find abandoned beauty. If you ever feel slightly suffocated in the City, head to one of my favourite places – St Dunstan’s in the East, a beautiful ruined church that’s been taken over by ivy and the elements. Damaged in the Blitz, its grounds are now a peaceful public garden that is eerily calm despite being in the heart of the Square Mile.
