Wrapping up warm for winter

It’s finally getting a bit chillier out there, isn’t it? If you’re planning to get out in all weathers and walk off all the Christmas toblerones you ate, wrap up in bright waterproofs, tough boots and cosy knitted jumpers. Squirrel approved.

You might recognise some of this lovely lot from my Christmas gift guide. The beautiful I-stole-this-from-a-fisherman yellow mac from Idle Man (£28) and Olivia Barts bobble hat, £32.99 from Roo’s beach have been my winter staples, and I’m equally obsessed with this warm and festive fair isle jumper from Weird Fish (£25).

Winter rambles call for sturdy boots – I love this beautiful leather and suede Mint Chai pair from Clarks, especially worn with my toasty Wigwam socks (from £15). These boots may look pretty but they’re also mega tough, with a GORE-TEX outer to keep your feet dry through rain, sleet and snow and rugged rubber non-slip soles.

Jake’s cosy parka (£42) and chevron knitted jumper (£21) are also from Idle Man: easy peasy winter warmth.

Thanks to my lovely mate Jacob Little for modelling for me and for being very patient whilst I made enticing noises at squirrels.
