I’m fresh back from Glastonbury (well, maybe fresh is not the word) with a very exciting competition indeed! Win yourself this lovely Nikon coolpix camera and rechargeable batteries, courtesy of Duracell, and get set for a summer of snapping.
The nifty Nikon Coolpix L310 is the perfect festival camera. It’s lightweight and pocket sized, yet also boasts a seriously powerful zoom for beautifully crisp images, even if you’re miles from the main stage, plus a huge monitor and tons of different modes and filters. Oh, and it looks rather fetching too. Mine came to Glastonbury with me this weekend – check out some of the shots I took below!
Pack some of Duracell’s rechargeable batteries and your camera will be able to go the distance all weekend – they’ve got enough juice for a whopping 70,000 pictures and they recharge in just 45 minutes. Plus, they’re guaranteed to last 5 years or 300 recharges, whichever comes first.
HOW TO ENTER: Want to win yourself a camera? I’ve got a Nikon L310 coolpix and Duracell charger with batteries to give away.
COMMENT: Simply comment below with your email address and tell me about the best festival you’ve been to.

This competition is now closed and the winner is James Dixon. Congratulations James! Thanks so much to everyone who entered.
The best festival I have been to was the Innocent festival several years ago. There was a library area, music tents, plenty of picnic space and lots of smoothies. I was really disappointed when they stopped running it.
Hop Farm Festival 2010. Baking hot, relaxed atmosphere and an incredible line up. Dylan, Mumford & Sons, Laura Marling and Ray Davies from the Kinks.
Henley Festival – the only festival I’ve been to! Great mix of music, art, standup, and the weird and wonderful. Sunshine helped too! Desperate to make it to Green Man, but somehow never seem to be in the country! Liked the FB page too 🙂
aaaahhhhhhI I wanna win!
…the best festival I have been to is V Festival a couple years ago!! Had VIP tickets so the experience was exceptionally special!! email addy is elle.linton(at)gmail.com
Also, double entry!! i LOVE you on FB! haha! x
Best festival so far has been Arenal Sound in Burriana, Spain. 6 (ridiculously) cheap days of good music, hot tents and great laughs. Get abroad!

FESTIVAL LOVE!!! The best festival on the planet is in a muddy little town called GLASTONBURY in not so sunny Somerset! Drinking cider and partying with my best pals and the likes of Beyonce, Stevie, Dolly of course the shiny headed legend that is Michael Evis has been the highlight of my year, every year, since I was first put in a tiny pair of wellies at 3 years old! <3
Best festival ever for me was Sonisphere. lover of the rock music 100%
Double count please Sian re FB lover
I’ve done a few but Sonisphere for the smaller size, more thoughtful scheduling of bands and over all atmosphere was a winner
Festival No 6 in Portmeirion.
I have commented
FIB festival in Spain … Fantastic, sun, sea, beach bars and a festival headlined by the Cure … Saw I am Kloot for the first time there too and have loved their songs and the tone of the lead vocals ever since … A lovely camera would have been useful then too! Smiles Ruth C
V festival 2009 🙂 oasis!!!! The last ever performance it was AMAZING 😀
I loved Leeds Festival in 2008. So many amazing bands, great friends and lots of sunshine. My e-mail is lindsaymcwilliams@hotmail.co.uk
glastonbury 2010!! unforgettable!! It was amazing! Liked you on facebook!
Glastonbury wins hands down for me every time! I’ve been several times, but if I had to pick one year, it would be 2005, which was the very first time I’d ever been to a festival, and the first holiday that my boyfriend (now fiancé!) and I took together.
He has always loved festivals and was really excited to introduce me to Glasto, and then really nervous that I would hate it (2005 was the year that it flooded TWICE).
I LOVED it though, we camped with about 30 friends near Lost Vagueness, met Michael Eavis randomly while walking to the John Peel stage, got “married” in The Chapel of Love & Loathing and saw The White Stripes headlining – still one of my Top 5 live gigs.
I went to my 13th Glasto this year, the first time with my son – and LOVED it. A totally different experience, but really magical. I’ve liked you on FB too!
Bestival! Smaller than Glastonbury but with a similar ‘feel good’ vibe, and a dressing up theme on the Saturday! (and going across to the Isle of Wight on the ferry makes it feel like a real holiday, too),
Ellie x
The best festival I’ve been to is hands down, V Fest. Had an amazing time there with friends, brings back so many happy memories.
The best festival I’ve ever been to was Grassroots, a little eco festival in Jersey in the Channel Islands. It was nice and simple but had awesome, chilled out acts. I saw Jose Gonzalez, Ben Howard (before he got famous!) and even had Newton Faulkner secretly dancing under our umbrella! You got free water bottles to fill up from taps around the site and you could collect cider/beer bottles in exchange for drinks tokens. An amazing, crazy and relaxed weekend!

GLASTONBURY 2003 watching Radiohead who need to headline again soon. Also the best buzz, most diverse, most spectacularly incredible festival EVER.
Hard to choose, but I think I’ll pick the recent Download fest. Was the first time I’d been since it stopped being Monsters of Rock. This time I can actually remember all of it:-)

The Wireless Festival London was great as my daughter and I are big Pink fans and Pink was literally on top of us in a giant see through hamster ball rolling over the crowds. she is so great live.
Glastonbury 2008, Jay Z was amazing and I’ll never forget his tongue in cheek version of ‘Wonderwall’ with Jay Z wearing a Gallagher-esque parka after Gallagher had criticised him as a headliner. Great festival with great friends.
Following on FB too.
Festival of life, a Christian festival. It was overnight and so much fun. A lot of singing with different bands and choirs, as well as preaching from different thoughtful speakers. I also ran into some old friends from secondary school 🙂 and even saw a relative i hadn’t seen in a long time. The buzz and refreshing was fab.
I’m going to go and ‘like’ you on facebook now. Thanks for this opportunity. I of course hope i win ;-).
All the best with picking with the winner and with your blogging. Have a lovely month. 🙂
My favourite festival was One Love 2013 in Upminster, the reggae festival. It was a great music experience – I finally saw historic artists perform on stage, had some lovely veggie food, met some amazing new people and danced all day (even in the rain). It was really great and I’d love to go again this year.
Also, I liked you on FB 🙂
My favourite festival so far is the Edinburgh Festival. Although it doesn’t have the energy and atmosphere of a summer ‘in a field somewhere’ music festival, it’s simply an amazing experience to dip in and out of show/performance/display etc etc., one after another, for as long as you want. A lucky dip for the mind. Would be interesting though if Edinburgh could persuade, say, Holyroodhouse to allow a campsite so could add a little of the music festival vibe to nighttime.
My favourite festival this year was actually Wireless Festival (ignoring the entire Kanye debacle, of course!) they’d changed from Hyde Park to Finsbury, which meant there was more space for lounging around and relaxing which is always good to do. Plus, OutKast played in the UK for the first time in THIRTEEN YEARS. And there were a lot of fireworks. It was absolutely glorious and filled with a lot of alcohol, fun and the new people that you end up meeting in the queue for the loos – definitely one to remember. Email address is lmacontrol@googlemail.com and I’ve liked on Facebook too (Lorna ‘Lexi’ Mackinnon) x
The Hop Farm Festival in Kent 3 years ago. The Eagles were the headline act and it was their only UK gig that year. They were absolutely amazing.
I have fond memories of the Heineken festival in Leeds many years ago, it was a small event and felt very friendly, we all had a great time.
Latitude was my fave, a couple of years back, off there again this year! 🙂

The best festival was TITP 2012. I just got engaged and went to TITP with my fiancé & had thee best experience of my life. We were also dressed up as madhatters and even made it into the paper the next day 🙂
Best festival ever was definitely Glastonbury, the year Bruce Springsteen and Blur played. Gutted to have missed it this year! Also liked on Facebook 🙂
My best festival has to be Isle of Wight few years ago – I was also lucky enough to have gone VIP as a friend won them – it was amazing! – also liked you on Facebook
My best one was my first with my husband at Cornbury, such a fab atmosphere, so friendly and James Morrison singing was a highlight!

I took my Family to Camp Bestival at Lullworth castle last year. Its probably the best one for families as there were some great music, Labrinth and DJ Fresh were awesome and loads of fun activities to knacker the kids up as well with Dick and Dom and Horrible Histories.
We camped the whole weekend and it was fab
and liked on Facebook 🙂
So hard to choose but because it was the very first festival I ever went to, it has to be Glastonbury. I have so many great Glasto memories and every time I go back, I just keep adding to them…
(have liked you on FB too)
I’ve never been to a festival
I’ve been to Hyde Park and Fairport in Cropredy, I love folky music so Fairport is my favourite. Very laid back and the village joins in with a fringe festival held in the local pubs x
Liked on FB too x
best festival for me was the Evolution Festival in Newcastle in 2011 – great atmosphere, great music, great food – and it was also my Hen weekend so great liquid refreshment too!
sorry – forgot to say – I’m a new follower on FB too! Thanks 🙂
