To participate, AliKats are asking bloggers to share their ultimate adventure bucket list. What would you love to do if you could pick any adventure on earth? It’s a great prompt for a blog post to get you thinking about where you’d love to explore around the world. Here’s my current adventure bucket list, in case you need a little inspiration to get started.
1, Trek in Tibet
Since reading Alexandra David-Neel’s book My Journey to Llasa I’ve been obsessed with the idea of trekking in the Tibeatan Himalayas.
2, Dive with whale sharks
These slow-moving, starry-backed sharks are found in tropical seas, and diving down to visit them is top of my wildlife adventure bucket list.
3, Cycle the Hebridean Way
There are so many amazing adventures to embark on right here in Britain – cycling the Hebridean Way through the Outer Hebrides and hopping from island to island by ferry is top of my list.
4, Ride an Icelandic horse across a volcanic landscape
Iceland has its own unique breed of horse native to the island, and you can ride these small, hardy steeds across lava fields or between natural hot springs.
5, Swim in Mexico’s underground cenotes
My ultimate wild swim. One day I’ll head to Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula and go in search of cenotes, caves full of deep, still water, with ceilings of limestone arches and stalactites.
6, Trek hut-to-hut across the Alps
My next mountain challenge is to trek between remote huts in the Alps, reaching new summits each day and sleeping high in the hills each night.
