What are you up to this weekend? Can you squeeze in a last-minute adventure? Whatever you’ve got planned you can get kitted up at TK Maxx‘s fantastic Outdoor World event, which is filling stores with amazing kit at fantastic prices. They set me the challenge of popping in to a store and seeing what #RidiculousPossibilities I could create with what I found.

The treasure trove that is TK Maxx just got even more exciting – as part of their new #RidiculousPossibilities campaign there’s an abundance of amazing outdoors kit in store this week. You could pop in for a new pair of trainers and come out with a shiny new kayak, find a tent to go with your new summer sandals or replace your knackered old bike whilst shopping for a yoga mat. TK Maxx receive several deliveries a week so get it before it’s gone!
The bank holiday was looming without a fixed plan and a dodgy weather forecast when I headed to my local TK Maxx to see what #RidiculousPossibilities I could find. I picked up softshell midlayers and comfy shorts, a three-season sleeping bag, a storm lantern, cooking kit ready to simmer on a campfire and tons more, all at up to 60% off – an impromptu camping weekender was clearly on the cards.
We loaded up the car and drove to one of my favourite campsites in Britain. Beeches Campsite in the Wye Valley is like camping in a kid’s book, complete with fresh eggs from the chickens who roam about the. We pitched our tent above the beautiful valley fringed by the Forest of Dean just in time for sunset. As night fell we stoked up the fire and cooked up sausage and bean stew, followed by some experimental marshmallow creations – you’ve got to try the Scottish S’more we invented (that’s marshmallows, chocolate, whiskey and oatcakes made into a sandwich).
Our new gear meant we were ready for all the weird weather the Great British Springtime chose to throw at us as we rambled in the valleys, polished our Robin Hood skills with a bow and arrow in the woods and cooked yet more sausages. And if the summer never arrives at least TK Maxx stock great ski wear. I recommend you head to store with an open mind and find exactly what you weren’t looking for.
The Outdoor World event is only in selected TK Maxx stores – find your nearest participating store and head down to see what #RidiculousPossibilities you can create.
